Ed Miliband Beats David Miliband as Labour Leader

Ed Miliband tonight won the Labour Party  leadership contest, edging his older brother David into second place by the slimmest of margins.

But his victory was not without controversy as he won by such a narrow margin - 50.65% of the vote to 49.35% for his brother. He did not even have a majority of his  own MPs. His victory seems to be down to the support of the UNITE union. Those people who have been blighting the Nations favourite Air Line.

Ed Miliband, 40, was elected on Saturday, beating his brother David Milliband the 45-year-old former foreign minister, by a margin of a little more than 1 percent of the votes in a runoff.

I feel very sorry for David Miliband fancy being beaten by the UNITE union but it just goes to show who runs the Labour Party,

I had a quick look on Davids Web site the other day

I quote

Regular surgeries are held for people of South Shields who want talk to me
